Bun B. will take part in the "Museum Of Fine Arts"

Bun B. will take part in the "Museum Of Fine Arts" for Houston's "Movies Houstonians Love" series where the rapper will touch on his favorite film, "Style Wars." Bun is one of four local celebs who are invited each year to speak on one of their favorite movies with the public.

Style Wars is regarded by many as the definitive document of the emerging hip-hop culture, an emblem of the spirit that burst forth from underground tunnels, uptown streets, and clubs. The film chronicles an extraordinary epoch of youthful creativity and civic controversy. Teenage graffiti artists made New York City´s subway system their playground, battleground, and artistic canvas. Opposing them were Mayor Ed Koch, the police, and the Transit Authority. As DJs rocked the city with new sounds, street-corner break-dance battles became performance art. Today this superbly photographed, world-acclaimed film, hailed at the 2003 Tribeca Film Festival, is timelier than ever. The phrase ´New York, 1982´ (the superimposed title that starts the film) has itself become a code for a time of heroic teenage exploits, a touchstone for successive generations of youth worldwide, many of whom can recite the film´s dialogue by heart."
